Guided tour of the estate. Location cured and surrounded by greenery. Beautiful garden and magnificent vegetation (bouganville enchanting). Interesting to see the realization of mozzarella, sincato behind the glass but I understand the hygienic reasons. The buffalo breed is ordered and the animals are really well, massage and rest as they want! Mozzarella tasting included in the visit: so small to do barely in time to taste its absolute excellence...I would recommend to increase the price of the ticket but to guarantee a small tasting of the mozzarella. This takes into account the fact that you can buy only by reservation and that at 11 about the shop is practically empty. As for yogurt: interminable, reduced assortment already in late morning, I could taste a yogurt, definitely excellent. There is also a restaurant inside the estate, moreover only option of non-dolce refreshment but I did not have lunch, I can only say that it is very nice and well set up both inside and outside. Conclusion: If you go to try the mozzarella you will be very disappointed and you will go away with the desireoooo...for the rest good experience!
Vannulo is one of the places that prepares and serves mozzarella di bufala and it is surely ekrth visiting and trying that. One should definitely try a plate of mozzarella and a plate of prosciutto, both of which are more than enough for two persons. Also, don't miss out on extraordinary gelato in their yogurtheria!
Best mozzarella di bufala ever in a paradisiac farm where everything is km 0 ! You can visit the farm, the buffaloes, the museum, the mozzarelificio, the leather shop and the numerous shops and restaurants. just go !!!
We dropped by after a half day visit to the Paestum ruins, armed with a loaf of bread and some fresh tomatoes bought at a local stand, to try the Vannulo mozzarella al fresco, followed by a buffalo milk gelato. Picnicking in Italy doesn 't seem common, but no one seemed to mind when we bought our one cheese ball at the shop and proceeded to snag a table outside the gelateria to enjoy a late lunch. The verdict? Hard to say. My spouse is the bigger fresh mozzarella fan, and she found the very elastic texture of the Vannulo mozzarella a bit different (although no complaints about the taste). My theory is that probably this texture is the way it 's supposed to be, but maybe she needs further experience to say for sure. As for myself, I 'll put it on my pizza any day, but parmigiana will always be my Italian cheese of choice.Still, it was good to try it a fresh as we will ever likely get it, at a very pleasant location. I checked out the Buffalo (animals) at the same time. I didn 't hear any music serenading them, as other reviewers have suggested, but they seemed reasonably content with life at the farm. The gelato seemed richer tasting than your standard Italian gelato, and supposedly is a somewhat healthier option than the normal. But of course almost any Italian gelato is better than what we are used to on North American. Thumbs up. At a cost of 5 Euro (three for the cheese, two for the gelato, both shared) it was an enjoyable and inexpensive side trip for us.
