My husband’s summary was, “it was $50 for two happy meals worth of mediocre food”. The portion sizes were very small, including the salsa which came in tiny sauce dishes. The only exception to this was the table side guacamole, which was very good. We got there at 3:20 and the sign on the patio read “closed until 4”. So we came back at 4 and tried to order tacos and they said they stopped serving those at 3? We ordered what we could, which was a burrito and vegetable fajitas. The rice is cooked in chicken stock and they said they couldn’t put onions and peppers on the burrito because they had already put those away, but the fajitas had peppers and onions in them. The owner and all of the staff were extremely nice, but I would not recommend eating here as a vegan. It was a confusing, disappointing experience.
Our waitress was awesome, the vegan tacos i got were good (i wasn’t too crazy for them... it felt like it was missing something). However it was the guacamole that sold me. They make it fresh right in front of you!!!!
We ate here while visiting family in NJ. We went for lunch because I noticed on their website they have several vegetarian/vegan options that are on their lunch menu, but not on their dinner menu. We had the tableside guacamole cauliflower/cactus tacos. The food was good very reasonably priced (especially for being in Cape May). The portions weren't very big, though. I wasn't too hungry when we went so I was fine, but I know if I had been very hungry when we went it would not have filled me up. I might go again for lunch sometime since we have family in the area, but probably not for dinner.
This restaurant is very accommodating to vegan/vegetarian diets. Just make sure to specify that you are vegan and the staff will be happy to share some options for you. My server pointed out that the rice was made with chicken stock which is very helpful! (I had the vegetarian fajitas). Overall, the service was great and the food tasted great!
