Thomas's Ham Eggery Diner - CARLE PLACE

Small diner with very good breakfasts. The cheesy grits bacon and eggs was very good. Grits were creamy cheesy, eggs your way, 4 strips of thick cut bacon and toast served in a hot pan.

Breakfast here is great. However, expect some wait, and space is small including tables.

While the food is amazing, the half naked, smelly, homeless man right in the middle of the dining room did not provide a safe and healthy environment to eat it.

Great food. Waitress was great. Looking forward to returning.

I don 't know what happened to this place, but you can see why it 's not as busy as it once was. Besides the burnt bacon (I like it crispy, this crap was turning to dust), gross home fries, and somehow dry Belgian waffles (maybe the cook was a bit cooked himself) the worst part was that my fiancé (who worked an overnight in last night 's storm as a first responder) sent back his steak and eggs because his medium steak was past well done and his home fries were limp and unseasoned. He only ate the 2 eggs out of it but was charged for the full meal despite telling the waitress he wasn 't going to eat it. We couldn 't even bring this up to our waitress to have this corrected because another one came over and without saying a word took the check and card off the table without giving us an opportunity to say anything. of course hubbs is tired and just wanted to go home, so here I am having to be a Karen.
