Lana Castlebar Asian Street Food

Nice place but left with sour taste. This is the second time I have visited Lana Castlebar and the last visit was a 5 star review. This time things didn’t go so well for me and the actions of the manager was very poor. I ordered the sweet chilli chicken with fried rice and was hugely disappointed . I have had chilli chicken many times in many restaurants and the sweet chilli sauce is a drizzle and not over powering. Unfortunately this chilli chicken was drowned in chilli sauce and when I added the rice everything became a goop and was overpowering and made me feel ill

It's a handy place for a takeaway away as there is not much parking. They do nice food. The peppered chicken and masaman curry is delicious.

I enjoyed a delicious meal that was very fresh and flavorful. Don't forget to try the spring rolls and prawn crackers - they are a must!

Stopped by on a bank holiday Sunday and it was worth the stop. All Lana seem to have the same decor and foodstyle and like the other lanas I've tried this was equal to any of them. We called ahead to book and it was busy when we got there so we were happy we did. Food was good and the staff was very efficient and very friendly. It is a place I would go to again. Parking is available on the street outside.
