The sausage parmesan sandwich featured half a pound of homemade Italian sausage that reminded me of my childhood, accompanied by a flavorful tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese that stretched beautifully. The onion rings and french fries had a delicious coating that tasted like they were fried in olive oil—light and crunchy. For dessert, the cannolis were absolutely delightful, filled with a creamy, sweet ricotta and just the right amount of chocolate chips.
I had the taco pizza and bruschetta during my visit. The pizza was just average, but that wasn’t the restaurant's fault; I had high expectations and was looking for something unique. On a positive note, the service staff was surprisingly young but exceptionally attentive. I was really impressed by the hard-working young women who worked together so seamlessly and with great energy. I would definitely consider coming back the next time I'm in town.
I would have given them six stars if I could. Roberto, the owner, was incredible! We were looking for a caterer for my daughter’s wedding, and although I had spoken to him before, when we visited the restaurant to taste the food, he came over and treated us like family. He prepared a special tasting of his most popular dishes just for us, and it genuinely felt like we were sitting around his kitchen table. Everything was delicious, from the pretzels with artichoke dip and cheese curds to the pizza bubbles, lemon Sicilian chicken, and cheese tortellini in Rosa sauce. And then there were the meatballs, chicken Alfredo, lasagna... The iced tea was even fantastic. Plus, the prices were very reasonable. I thought we’d have to roll ourselves out of the restaurant!
Once we were seated, our waitress seemed somewhat brusque and lacking in warmth. However, we understand how challenging it can be to maintain good staffing these days, so we decided to overlook it. We kicked things off with appetizers of bruschetta and a warm pretzel with spinach dip. Unfortunately, the pretzels were out, so we opted for tortilla chips instead. The bruschetta, generously piled on the bread, was absolutely delightful. The spinach dip was incredibly cheesy, stretching deliciously when dipped, although a bit more spinach would have been nice. After devouring what we were given, I requested additional chips, but our waitress informed me that I would be charged for another appetizer to get more chips. Instead, I asked her to provide a container so we could take the leftover dip home. Now, onto the main courses! The Chicken Parmesan was impressive, featuring two hearty chicken breasts with a marinara sauce that was so flavorful it felt as if it had just been freshly made. The pasta dishes that the other two in our party had were equally excellent—one with a creamy alfredo sauce and the other topped with the same marinara from the Chicken Parmesan. The highlight of the evening, however, was undoubtedly the Stromboli. I decided to split my order with a friend, and I do not regret that choice at all! Although it wasn't prepared in my preferred style (puffed up and sealed to hold in the steam and juices), it was still incredibly delicious. My friend aptly noted that the flavor permeated the crust, which was savory, lightly brushed with garlic butter, crispy yet airy. It's truly hard to put into words how good it was!
The food was fantastic, and the server was wonderful and attentive, especially since my family requested only vegetarian dishes!
