The food was terrible. The restaurant itself is pleasant and the wait staff was friendly. But we’ve never had worse Asian food. There were four of us, and the only dish that was good was the hot and sour soup. Of the main dishes, one tasted like chicken broth soup (it was supposed to be Pad Thai), the honey walnut shrimp dish tasted like artificially sweetened mayonnaise, the Singapore noodles were bland and came with no protein, the egg drop soups were also bland. None of it tasted like Chinese, Thai, or any other asian cuisine any of us had previously had. It was a very unfortunate experience and I sincerely hope it was just an off day for the cook.
I recently had dinner here and was really disappointed. They brought out my order and as I began trying to eat it I quickly realized that the broccoli, though hot in temperature, was not cooked. It was hard and had long stalks. I let the server know and later she said she let the owner (who was onsite), the manager, and the chef know. That was it. The owner didn't bother to come out to talk with me and apologize, or offer something else, or anything. I could only eat part of the meal and put aside all of the uncooked broccoli which was the majority of the meal. It is really too bad, since I used to really like this restaurant.
New Fortune is about a 30 minute ride for us, but a ride we'll worth taking. A truly great dining experience. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Egg Roll, Beef on a Stick, Moo Shu Pork, Crab Rangoon
