Absolutely lovely place, just next door to the A1. Arrived without a booking, we were accomodated straight away. Husband couldn't read the menu as he took the wrong glasses so he had chicken jalfrezi. He said it was by far the best jalfrezi he had in a very long time. I had the Lamb Syltheti, melt in the mouth meat and citrus flavoured which I'll definitely take again. Very polite, professional staff yet discreet. We'll be back very soon!
After reading reviews we decided to give this place a try. It wasn’t the best curry we had. The naan bread was bland, pilau rice was just plain rice, and the veggie side dish was ok. My husband got a chicken dish which was just full of onions and sauce. Maybe it was an off night for the chef but I’d like to give this restaurant a try again, not anytime soon though.
Very clean, friendly staff and mostly well cooked and tasty food. I would return if only for the sweet buttery delicious onion bhajis and the delicately flavoured chicken tikka. I suspect its hit and miss but the dishes are mostly of a high standard, well seasoned and not greasy or over-spiced. I found the chips to be a little dry, additionally the tarka daal was flavourless, almost as if they had boiled the lentils, thrown in some coriander and dished it up. Of all the restaurants in the area I would say they are probably the best as, similarly, the tarka daal from biggles lounge in biggleswade can vary from watery to thick porridge depending on who makes it. I will be returning and will recommend to others.
Staff are amazing and always have a lovely smile, very welcoming. Food is excellent and always look forward to returning.
