The biggest disappointment was the fact that they say “slotted cream” on the menu and it is nothing like a limp...swiss Concoction lacks any depth or body that does not bear any similarity to the Devonshire original. If prices are high They original camouflaged cream, but still another experience great, enthusiastic service.
We visited Umami and were satisfied. The big brunch for 34 CHF per person is a little expensive bur lacking in quality. The friendly staff will offer you additional food if necessary. If you have the big breakfast for 34... CHF you should make a reservation a few days on site. Otherwise there is no great breakfast available for you.
Really good homemade warm scones and jam. Clotted cream was not as thick as the authentic Cornish clotted cream but was nonetheless very nice too. Tea was superb having brewed it perfectly before serving. The decor inside was fantastic too with the only downside being...the risk of some noisy other tables. Would highly recommend especially on a winters Sunday afternoon when nothing else is open in the area.
Excellent teas, served with elegance and tradition. Warm atmosphere, impeccable service. Beautiful China. Located in the old city hall. Can arrange for breakfast or brunch in advance. Also serves savory appetizers.
