I am hesitant to give this restaurant even a single star, as the food quality does not justify it. I cannot speak for the cleanliness of the restaurant, as I only used the drive-thru. Unfortunately, my order was incorrect and the buns were extremely hard while the chicken in the sandwich was rubbery, as if it had been overcooked. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my experience and ended up throwing the food away. With the prices that McDonald's charges, you would expect their employees to take more pride in their work. I strongly advise against visiting this location to save yourself the disappointment and, most importantly, your money.
Every table was dirty and needed to be cleaned desperately. There was only one person in the dining room. I walked around the entire room and had to grab napkins and water to clean a table myself. The cashier seemed annoyed when I didn't leave after being ignored. When I received my food, 90% of the fries were at the bottom of the bag, as if it was intentional. I was polite, but oh well. At least the fries were hot. This experience occurred at the Pecos and McQueen location.
Less than six months ago this was quite possibly consistently the worst McDonald's in recent memory. Something has changed. I've now been back five straight times and I'm not sure if there's a new manager or what, but the breakfast is absolutely exceptional. You go to any McDonald's for the last ten years and order a sausage muffin and the muffin will always be not buttered and barely toasted. I have learned to live with it. This location has changed this. The first time I thought it was just a fluke but it's not. The muffins are the way thru are supposed to cooked and they are delicious! I'm eating here way too much now because I can't believe it's this good. Great job to this crew and the manager.
I only use the drive-thru at this restaurant, and my order is always accurate. However, the Dr. Pepper (I'm not sure about the other soft drinks) never tastes the same as it does at McDonald's. I am aware that McDonald's uses stainless steel tanks instead of plastic bags, which is why their soft drinks taste fresh and better than most others. I have to wonder if this location is maintaining the same standards. I live only 2 minutes away and have been coming here for the past 1.5 years with little success in getting the fresh, crisp Dr. Pepper that I usually get at other locations.
