Only outdoor shaded deck in Chapel Hill, all afternoon with amazing staff, ice cold beer, amazing margaritas and fantastic bbq, hush puppies, chips. It’s a family owned Chapel Hill staple with kindest patrons. It’s the hidden gem of the city.
Wow, where to begin. I have been to a lot of bars in the Chapel Hill area and none quite compare to the Dead Mule Club. The ambience is fantastic, the drinks are incredibly skillfully made, and the food is wonderful. However, what separates this bar to an elevated degree in my personal opinion is the employees. The bartender (Aaron I believe his name was) was hugely knowledgable about a whole host of intricate drink choices and helped guide me to some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had. He was also wonderful at suggesting places to eat in the area and overall extremely helpful and attentive to my large group that attended. Having myself worked in the service industry, I was extremely impressed by his jovial wit and focus during a busy night. My friends and I will absolutely be back again and now tell all of our friends this is a hidden gem in the Chapel Hill area!
Great atmosphere, fantastic staff, large drink selection, and a wonderful, expanded deck! Can't wait for the warmer weather!
The chicken nachos here are fantastic and definitely worth a try. When it comes to beer, there's a great selection, but I noticed that most customers opt for PBR. It's a laid-back little dive bar where locals, mostly older folks, gather until around 7 PM. Then, at 8 PM, the younger crowd floods in. It's definitely a spot worth visiting if you're looking to relax, socialize, or just enjoy a nightcap.
