This place has a great ambiance and vibe with a diverse mix of people and energy. Vana has a decent bar and good selection of full plates and tapas. I had a business dinner, and we ordered a nice selection of plates, such as the pork cheeks, humus, flat bread, meat cheese board, etc., and we were very happy with our choices. Our server was friendly and on top of everything. There is limited street parking, but there is a parking lot across the street. Make sure to pay with the application folowing the instructions. I made the mistake of not paying assuming it was free after a certain time in the evening, and I got a $20 ticket. Ouch! Overall, I enjoyed the experience and the food. I added it to my list of favorite restaurants.
I've been to Vana three times for drinks and all three times, my experience was outstanding. Most recently, I ordered Vana's version of an espresso martini and it is literally delectable. Tastes like coffee milkshake it is outta the world. Favorite espresso martini in all of charlotte, hands down! Definitely recommend!
I’ve been excited to try Vana and I appreciate the heart behind this restaurant, HOWEVER value is lacking. Our drinks were tasty but didn’t hit.The scallops dish is 2 scallops. The quail had the flavor of leftover thanksgiving.Roasted potatoes, possibly 1 cut up russet roasted with 3 dots of aioli.$130 was a painful price for what we got.We headed down the street to Barcelona afterward.Small portions don’t bother me , but small and lacking does.
Vana continues to be a standout among all the restaurants in the Queen City. It has not disappointed to date. Their seasonal items alongside the every changing specials make every experience new and delicious. The drinks are always perfectly balanced and service is friendly and welcoming. (Bar was backed up and they brought along a beer for the wait)Their massive dry aged steak is a great item to share with friends and comes with a great chimichurri and garlic sauce. The roasted vegetables are also a must. Great place to take friends and family from out of town and intimate enough for a date night. Great wine options as well and the dessert tends to always be the perfect dish to end the night. 10/10 highly recommend. Can’t wait for the next time I can go back!
This place goes above and beyond. We enjoyed some of the best food we have had in Charlotte. We had the privilege of sitting close to the kitchen and so we got to witness every dish that came out. When I tell you every single dish was cooked to perfection (over an open fire pit) and the care that went into each by the chefs was impeccable. We are excited to go back for dinner soon. This restaurant is a MUST try!
