Rothley Fisheries - Charnwood

I hadn't been to this restaurant in years, and I noticed they had rearranged the counter. After speaking with the waitresses, I learned that it had changed ownership recently. Unsure of what to order, I decided on mini fish and chips with mushy peas, as well as a mixed Gyro Kebab. I chose to dine in once the food arrived, and the staff accommodated me without any issues. The atmosphere was very quiet at first, but it started to fill up as time went on. The fish and chips with mushy peas were incredibly fresh and flavorful. The Gyro was also delicious, and they served a generous portion of spicy chili on the side, which added a nice kick. I would recommend making a reservation if you plan on dining in. I will definitely be returning.

The gluten-free options at this restaurant are fantastic. All of the batter is gluten-free at all times. My wife, who is Coeliac, was able to enjoy a battered sausage for the first time in 15 years. The staff are also very friendly and accommodating. This restaurant is a great option for dining in or for takeout.

As someone with celiac disease, I felt very confident and comfortable dining at this restaurant. The staff were kind and attentive, and the entire meal was outstanding. The fish was not greasy, the chips were cooked perfectly, and the service was quick. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Very tasty haddock chips and peas. Sat in the restaurant and the service was excellent food was top quality would highly recommend eating here and it’s gluten free

We ate at the Rothley Fisheries on Tuesday 25th. We had 3 x Fish/Chips/Mushy peas and 1 x Fish/Chips/Curry sauce, Pickled onions, Gherkins and Halloumi Sticks. As the food was of high quality, well cooked and presented. The Young Lady who served us was a delight. I normally include the cost when reviewing a restaurant. On this occasion “ Rich Richard” kindly paid the bill. The Rothley Fisheries is highly recommended for a traditional Fish/Chips evening. Paul Reynolds.
