I was a little apprehensive as the place was empty of people, but it was an off night, and the pizzeria is located in a very small but friendly town. The manager, his name escapes my memory, was very welcoming, informative, helpful, and made us feel comfortable immediately upon our entrance. When the food arrived, the pie looked fresh and perfectly timed from the oven. The pile of wings were smoking with just the right amount of sauce lathered about. Now, I 'm kinda a spoiled snob when it comes to great Italian foods because my Italian girl owns an Italian bistro and pizzeria restaurant in lower NY, and she 's a phenomenal cook who cooks with love. So when I am unloyal and eat Italian food not created from her hands, I tend to become a seasoned critic.... Anywho, both the pie and the wings were devoured like 2 Norse vikings at a victory feast only without the liquid Mead and Beowulf in attendance. The pie was very delicious with healthy portions of the 3-toppings and cheese. The sauce wasn 't overpowering but complimentary to the blended trio with the correct amount of cheese all baked in this circular pool of dough.I shall return, as MacArthur once said, whether as a solo dining traveler or with an invasion of my fellow compatriots of hungry, rowdy Norsemen. Thanks for listening.Parking: The pizzeria is located directly on Main Street of town. We ate at 7-730 on a Thurs evening, so parking spaces were available, although somewhat limited with restrictive spaces and side streets. During popular, busy hours, parking may be a challenge.
We come here from time to time and usually have a good experience.Tonight however couldn't have been more of the opposite! We ordered their special, which is a large 3 topping pizza and 20 wings for $30.I ordered the wings first so that they would be an appetizer and about 5-10 minutes later ordered the pizza. The pizza shows up almost 45 minutes later looking like it have been dropped on the floor and placed it back on the pan. One half of it looked great, the other half was missing the majority of the dough and literally was just toppings. They said they could either remake it or give me 15% off my bill if I take it. I decided to take the pizza since I figured it would be another 45 minutes before I got another.Mind you we were the only table dining in, and watched well over dozen people get their food while we waited and had nothing. The wings arrived Even later than the pizza, however, they were at least excellent as usual. To add insult to injury, when I paid for my food the 15% wasn't even deducted. If you're in the chateaugay area, go to smokehouse, the Cherry knoll or even Wendy's before stopping here, thank me later.
I ALWAYS love the pizzas here! They have made the best crusts that I actually eat every bite. I almost always used to leave the edges of the crust uneaten. Give them a try! My favorite is the white pizza with garlic oil, I ask for added mozzarella, mushrooms and onion. (Occasionally I request spinach as well)It's delicious and they make it look like it belongs in a magazine or on a canvas as art!
The pizza crust and bread sticks lacks any flavor you expect from pizza dough. It taste just like plain white bread. The mozzarella sticks were not stick but flat sheets of unseasoned breading covered mozzarella pieces and you only get 4 for 8 bucks. And the sauce taste like it came straight out of a can no extra seasoning nothing to help get rid of the metal taste. And our pizzas one was pepperoni with Xtra cheese the other sausage with onions. I expected both pizzas to be a tad greasy not to come with huge pools of grease on top of each pie.
The pizza, 20 wings and 2 liter soda is a great deal. Great pizza, love this placeWheelchair accessibility: There is a large step to the front door. But they will do delivery service.
