Very good ceviche. The service is also very good. This is my go to place for ceviche in the area. Go for the “Especial”
La Terracita es a good fin for seafood lovers nace And simple decir but wonderful food. Very fresh And will executed.
La Terracita is our regular weekend haunt. We usually go midafternoon for a couple of beers and the botannas. The botannas are included with the beer and include small plates of guacamole, fried chicken gizzards in limon, ceviche, potato salad, spiced mango, spiced pineapple, tortilla...chips and other selections. Sometimes we have a plate of papas fritas and other times we order a meal to share. The wait staff is professional and attentive. We are such regulars now that the staff sees us into the house and is ready with our regular beverage selection before we get seated. We like the place not only because of the staff and the food and the affordability, but also because we get to watch and interact with Mexican families enjoying their lives. We expecially like the Poc Chuc, the Camarones de Bruchetta, and the Pollo de Empanizado.
Fish, seafood, in many ways ...They do it the traditional Yucatan way bringing a boat load of various botanas (free snacks before your meal) everything from Kibis, look it up, to pumpkin seed, tomato traditional dishes, to ceviches of various kinds. Then comes the meals...... They do have a sort of chicken cordon blue, nachos with chicken or not, or dishes with chicken or pork but seafood is the thing to order .. Octopus, shrimp, the big fish and some rare local fish dishes even a sort of fish eggs that they fry the locals love ... This is a true Yucatan Mexican restaurant ...I've eaten here many times it's one of my favorites ...even my husband who doesn't eat fish or seafood enjoys this place ... My may be lucky enough to have a Maya lady stop by with her blouses, purses or the hammock guy with his wares ...a staple of the village
