There is something about this wooden-floored bar restaurant with old black white photographs decorating the walls, that always draws us in when we're in Chepstow.The staff are friendly, the prices are reasonable and the food is very good. The music is genuinely background, meaning that you don't have to shout to have a conversation and the street outside is mostly pedestrianised, so pleasant to sit in.
Had a burger. Was very average with no time taken for the presentation. Patties were somewhat over cooked and bun was dry. A slice of tomato with a few leafs of lettuce.Fries were ok but not hot.Pepsi had no ice and was somewhat cold but not ice cold.
Excellent, friendly place. Nice atmosphere and food, and a great landlord.
