Cafe was Open at 9:45 serving drinks, but food wouldn’t be cooked until 10 am. Ordered inside and sat out the front of the Cafe as the weather was gorgeous. A pot of tea was delivered to the table just after 10am then 10 mins later the cyclists arrived and sat all around us. We had a very well behaved little French Bulldog and by this time it was 10.25am and still no food, so I said to my partner, let’s go inside to eat as it must be ready by now!. We struggled with the tea cups and a pot of tea and sat down in this empty Cafe. A staff member approached the table and said NO DOGS ALLOWED INSIDE. Oh I said why? I thought it was doggie friendly (most places are in Farndon) . “We just don’t” and if we allow one…..!! Unfortunately we had lost our original outside table to more cyclists, so we were offered the rear Car Park to dine. Well it’s laughable! But I said NO. I wasn’t eating on a shady public Car Park. So we will have to eat it at home? So at 10.35am it was bagged and we left. Disappointing. Insulted and Never Again! God knows how long the food would have taken on a busy day!!
Not a good experience. We were out walking for the day and stopped in for lunch. Really really slow service the food took ages. When it arrived we were really disappointed . Also our table was really sticky and the floor had food under the table. The place sort of smelt of stale food. Shame , it could be lovely.
My wife in a wheelchair and I had a fantastic lunch, great access for wheelchair staff extremely friendly and good delicious… even brought lemon cake home… yum! Definitely recommend and we will visit again soon
Not great coffee or food. Tasteless pesto, chutney that over powers not particularly great sausage and they’re described and served in panini bread not pressed so more of grilled dough roll which was grilled.
