George's Gyros Spot - Chesterton

My last visit was surprisingly not good. Gyro meat was cold and the tomatoes tasted rotten. I didn't complain because this is the first time out of 20 visits that it was sub par. Fries are always perfect though.

Had not had hot dogs here in a while. Hot dog was good but the bun used is not the typical Chicago dog bun. It was kind of harder and I thought the bun size and taste overwhelmed the hot dog. Would rate it below the ones I get from Portillos. Willbe back but will stick to ordering gyros here

FOOD IS TRASH! Tried it 2 separate occasions and I?ve never in my 26 years of living had such a nasty gyro. First time my order was incorrect and I was missing items. Also threw my gyros away (never happens). Second time took one bite and threw it away.I?ve had better gyros frozen.

I have been coming here to eat since it opened in around 1993, or somewhere around that time. I was never disappointed. Fast service, great food, very reasonably priced, very clean and alway feel welcome. I love this place.

The food is consistently excellent. I really enjoy their pita and feta, but you can't go wrong with the Polish and sauerkraut either! Just make sure to double-check your takeout bag before leaving...
