I called into New Delhi Indian Food restaurant for an early dinner ... I had the vegan potato curry with a garlic naan ฿150 ... the curry and naan were both very nice (a bit too oily for me to eat every day) ... the staff were helpful with pointing out vegan options
The father of the restaurant owner was a strict Jain. The owner, a pleant man, Ravi, and staff understand vegan, Jain and Thai Jay food dietary restrictions well. They also speak good English. One dish and a portion of rice or a naan is sufficient for a reasonably hungry person. If you ate two dishes, you would be happy but stuffed. Main courses are about 120-160 Baht. Naan or Rice is about 50 Baht. The roti is just a bit too small to accompany a main course. Dine with a friend, order different dishes and split them, to experience the Try the tangy Aloo Chat (spicy potato) with a roti for a starter. For a main course, try Aloo Ghobi (potato and cauliflower) with Garlic Naan bread.
Compared to other local places and cheap vegan cafe, it is a little more expensive but they have great Daal and Naan
We had a good experience here. our total price came between two people at about 170THB. the dahl was tasty if they like it spicy, and appear west, make sure they ask this wise. I forgot and there was almost no seasoning, but the aromen were still quite solid. not the best Indian food I ever had, but really close to the Sunday market and our hotel.
