The Mixto ceviche was fantastic even though I don't love calamari or octopus (the level of tartness is very high, much like Frontera's original). We are pescetarians and there were numerous options for us. The steak served to the gentleman next to me smelled fabulously seasoned. I'm not sure why this hasn't become a super hot spot. It was only sort of busy when we went and other reviewers have indicated the same. Oh the ceviche portion is also generous so when you see the price don't be turned off thinking you're not going to get a value.
Started with homemade rolls with sauce- very good. Had cerviche appetizer which was a very large portion and good. Main course was salmon in a mushroom sauce. The sauce and mushrooms so overpowered the dish you couldn't tell if there was fish or what kind of fish. The prices are reasonable, service was good, and it's BYO but I don't believe I'd return.
Had a great experience at Ceviche! Food was very fresh and everything was delicious. Staff was very attentive. Will go back again!
The food was nicely seasoned but the meet was not tender and service was not good at all and took forever to be served and get their attention and tab.
Great food Maravillas del mar and Lomo Saltado were both great, and the service was quite good. Only wish we had had a better table. Owner made sure we were satisfied at the end of our visit. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for new flavor in Chicago.
