Very good food, tasty, healthy, restaurant near the road. It is suprise, when you get salty pinea00le jujce. We can recomend chicken curry, like a tipical local food it is big porcion. Firkrova and friends
We have a special needs child who doesn't do restaurants so this place is perfect. The food is ready to go in a bain marie at the front of the restaurant so you can walk in, choose what you want and you are home eating...hot chinese food before you know it. The staff are regularly bringing out full trays of fresh food from the kitchen. The satay is fantastic and, dare I say it, even better than another eatery a few kms away in Reynella. It has a little kick but not overpowering. The dinner meal deal is great value 2 mains with either rice or noodles for about $12 and the servings are very generous. We usually opt for the full containers of meats and rice with a few dim sims and the obligatory prawn crackers. We are eating in for the first time tonight for a family event and we are excited to see how the service is.
Terrible. The fried dim sims were doughy and still partly raw. The steak was tough which is quiet an achievement since it is cut so thin. Extremely disappointing since I have had nice meals in the past.
We had delicious meals at this restaurant before, but it seems like they have changed ownership because our recent experience was the worst Chinese meal we have ever had. The spring rolls were dry and tasteless, seeming like they had been sitting in a warming tray for over a week. The lemon chicken was too salty and the batter was inedible. The rice was also very plain. Southern Palace needs to improve their food quality or they will continue to lose customers.
