I love this place... And hands down recommend the Chilaquiles burrito with Chipotle sauce, chorizo and eggs. Try it... it's huge. It's so good I always forget to make a picture of it. All other decisions are also great, no complaints from my children.
Really good chilaquiles! So crispy and full of sauce! I will come here for sure every time im in town! The only thing I did not like was I asked for three different sauces on my enchiladas because I seen it on mexi papas visit on youtube and the lady says oh we don't do that we only do one sauce per order...what?! I came here because we seen it on the video and just had to try it the same way...after a little back and forth and asking her chefs she did do it for us. For the enchiladas we got mole sauce red sauce and green sauce. They tasted a little watered down not sure what it was missing. The rice was a bit crunchy (maybe not made correctly) and the beans were really good! We also ordered chilaquiles with cilantro sauce and green sauce they were so very yummy! Being their specialty they should be good. But I would think they were the best chilaquiles I've had so far and I love ordering chilaquiles whenever I have breakfast at a Mexican place. We also had a refreshing Jamaica and an agua de limon. Jamaica was perfect the limon husband says a little too sweet. Overall enjoyed my visit. It is a small place at a mall but there's seats in front outdoors under a cover. So I will recommend the chilaquiles not sure about the enchiladas of chicken.
What can I say? The chilaquiles are yummy and at a good price. You pay approximately $11 for chilaquiles with potatoes and beans. If you want protein with it, you're looking at paying an additional $2-$4. I feel like the chilaquiles are a little more on the Gentified side because of the location. Also, I hoped that they used fresh tortillas to make their chilaquiles, but I honestly think they use pre-bought tortilla chips. Nevertheless, they are still good in taste so no complains. The birria was very good too but I wish they would have given us more tortillas after paying about $15 for a bowl a birria. A side of rice wouldn't hurt either. For birria, I would just hold off and get it elsewhere. You'll get more for your money's worth.
UPDATED REVIEW 8/29/2021: Review stars: 5 from 1 My wife and I were looking for a good breakfast last Sunday and decided to return to Los Chilaquiles. I had machaca with eggs and my wife another plate that I forgot what it was. Food was great and most important of all good and fast service. We will be back when in the area. UPDATED REVIEW 10/27/2019: 1 hour wait for our food from our arrival to food on our table is excessive and even more for a restaurant that was not filled to capacity. I have been to other restaurants that have more people ordering food and still get our food a lot quicker than today. And yes to be fair we were told food would take 40 minutes to arrive but it was still not acceptable. We should have left when we were told this. Food was great as always but service no where near acceptable. We will think twice whenever we go out for Sunday breakfast. Maybe next visit will be better and Los Chilaquiles can earn the stars that were lost today and get a better review. PREVIOUS REVIEW: My wife and I have eaten here several times and I can say that the chilaquiles are really good. They have different variations of chilaquiles and my wife's favorite drink: Cafe de olla. Try their desserts too specifically the flan. We will be back
