I like it here. Nice budget hostel in the center of town, led by a family. I rented a dirt bike for a good price that we used for a day around the hills. They brought us coffee in the morning and WiFi is strong.
Horrible food, Horrible service. We asked the lady if she has grilled fish, she said yes. We told her several times, we don't eat fried food, no rice, no sugar, she said OK. We asked her to bring us natural lemonade, she said she doesn't have. We asked her to bring us two glasses of water and little lemon and we squeeze it, easy..she said OK. And she came back after 10 min with fried fish for both of us, and two glasses of sugary drinks
I stayed two nights with this warm and nice family. They cook good real Colombian lunch with soup as starter and then various types of meeting with rice, salad and beans. They are a very welcoming family and this is a very good way to stay and learn a little from the true Colombian culture.
Food is great, hostel not so much. The staff is friendly, amenities are not great. Outdoor kitchen could use totes to keep cookware clean and a fridge/garbage. Backyard area for sitting is dirty/bottom. There are 4 hammocks to hang in. The connected restaurant provides a loud and early morning as there are no windows that separate the rooms from the outside. It's across from Central Park, which provides a loud evening. Good location.
