Great little coffee shop with an AWESOME outdoor patio behind the building. Very cozy and private setting great for a relaxing cup of coffee in the city
This little cafe very quickly became my favorite study spot. Not only is their coffee fantastic and affordable, the workers are friendly and keep the environment very nice. The books that they have cover vast genres and themes, and being tucked into a corner surrounded by good books is always a great motivation to get my work done and settle in with a story. As a person with ADHD, the vibe of a place can greatly change my ability to focus, and Iris Book Cafe has a vibe that is conductive to concentration, and it makes me determined to keep working. Check this place out, you will not regret it!
Friendly staff, cool courtyard, tasty sandwiches, beautiful art, and a great selection of books. I picked up a book published by MOMA to use in my classroom for only $8, which would probably cost around $100 new!
Not the best experience for my first venture to the cafe, but they 've got a fantastic selection of modern and contemporary art books. I stopped in during their BOGO sale, and asked the manager if they 'd do a $40 book for two $20 books. Manager said: no problem. After taking a good while to pick out a couple books to go with my $40 book and bringing them to the register, suddenly what I was doing (arithmetic) was too complicated. I 'll try to go back when someone else is working there...maybe.
