Abbey is the perfect place for people who want to spend a relaxed and very fresh evening with colleagues / friends. food: the whole meal was a good experience that tries chargrilled huhn and bacon burger. the very positive point, however, was the very tasty cheesecake as desert. I really have to say that the cheesecake has exceeded my expectations and ii is really one of the best cheesecake I had in a long time. ambiente: two cakes to describe abbeys totalambiance would be relaxed and casual. this is the perfect place to win after a long day at work a pint with colleagues and friends. service: special mention for service. from the moment you...read more
Abbey is cool and vibrant. It quickly buzzes with young professionals and it has a great atmosphere. They have a pretty enticing happy hour from 5-8, which promises good drink deals and a seriously good time. I ordered their Antipasti Board, which was well presented and tasty. In terms of drinks I would thoroughly recommend their Wild Meadow cocktail, which was just so refreshing! My only complaint is that when I poured myself a glass from the cocktail pitcher, the glass jug cracked off in my hand. The drinks were literally on me. I ended up soaked in Long Island Iced Tea, as did my jacket and handbag. The waiter was apologetic but nothing else was done in terms of remedying the...read more
This place is live, happening and vibrant on most days reaching its crescendo on Friday. Being close to our office, this used to be our usual haunt. They have happy hours till 8 I think when you could buy a pint for 2 for beers in promotion the have it displayed prominently inside so you can't miss it. If you are going in a group, best is to reserve a table at the entrance, as that area is sort of secluded and does not get cramped as the other areas. On Thursday and Friday, the floor downstairs gets packed and gets seriously alive after people have binged up on the happy hour drinks a place not to be missed if you are looking to find a date.
Here once through £55 of Tequila shots. I'd say this is the sign of a fantastic or terrible Friday night. I'm not sure yet.
