Must have eaten there about 15 times. never had anything but a great meal with great service. courtyard is charming. on a sunny day try to get there early when they want to eat outside.
There was a small part of me (very small) that didn't want to share this place because I still want to snag a table, but here it is. Aurora is a hidden gem located in the heart of Soho. The garden may be small, but it is extremely cozy and even romantic. The European menu is seasonal, so you can expect changes regularly. Make sure to add this restaurant to your must-visit list.
My main was the sirloin, and this time it was the Beetroot beetroot beetroot and sweet potato wedge elements that led me, but while the former was a great steak addition the latter was one half of a sweet potato again halved, two very fat wedges and a lot of soft, sweet potato filling. I hoped for more crispy outer fried quality. salat and steak were both run-of-the-mill, cooked rarely good enough, but it lacked any pizzazzen.
The pan-fried cod served on a bed of gnocchi with a smoked paprika tomato, fennel, and black olive sauce showcased the chef's talents.
