Chat's Cafe

This is the cafe bar attached to the Marriott Hotel on George Street. We went to watch the rugby, play some pool and have a quick meal. We had burgers, a Philly steak sandwich and a club sandwich. The food was delicious but in the usual humongous servings that you get in the UK these days. If you're staying at the Marriott, it's a great place to go! There were little kids playing on one of the pool tables and having a great time while their parents had a drink so good Entertainment for the little ones too.

I was disappointed by the limited menu options, and the wait staff wasn't consistently attentive. The Americano coffee was served with cold milk, which unfortunately cooled down the coffee significantly. It would have been better to have warm milk to help keep the coffee hot.

If you happen to find a deal during your stay at the Marriott that includes a discount, it’s worth giving this restaurant a try. However, I believe there are better options nearby. The service was friendly, but overall, there wasn’t anything that stood out about this place to make it particularly appealing.

We stayed at the hotel and had a couple of drinks here in the late afternoon. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was quite pleasant. There's a large TV above the bar showing sports, which might be a plus or minus depending on your preferences. However, it wasn't too distracting.
