Since we arrived for an early dinner, we were able to take advantage of the Prix Fixe Early Dinner menu (available until 6:30 PM), which featured a starter, entree, and dessert for just $29.95! Almost everything on the menu sounded tempting. Some of us opted for the Prix Fixe option, while others chose from the regular menu. Here’s a brief overview of what we ordered: **Escargots** - Part of the regular starter menu, these were delightful. They were bathed in garlic herb butter, and every bite was bursting with flavor. If you're a fan of escargot, you should definitely try this! **French Onion Soup** - ($2) This was the must-have starter from the Prix Fixe. It was hot, cheesy, and utterly delicious. Honestly, for a prix fixe option, it exceeded my expectations. **Wild Mushroom Risotto with Parmesan and Black Truffle** - This was my entree from the Prix Fixe menu, and it was everything I had hoped for. The truffle and mushroom flavors were rich, and the risotto was nearly perfectly cooked—just slightly al dente. As a risotto lover, I highly recommend it! **Pan-Seared Loup de Mer with Palm Hearts and White Wine Sauce** - My wife's entree from the Prix Fixe menu had a beautiful presentation, but she found the fish lacking in flavor. There was sauce both on the fish and the plate, but something about it was off. **Steak Frites (Hanger Steak with Pommes Frites)** - This was a friend’s entree from the Prix Fixe menu. I didn’t get to sample much, but it was a substantial portion with loads of frites. I tried a piece of the medium-cooked steak, and it was perfectly juicy and tender. **Assorted Sorbet and Ice Cream** - We shared various sorbets and ice creams at the end of the meal. You can pick three scoops from four different flavors, and honestly, I don’t remember all of the flavors because we devoured it quickly! Aside from the delicious food, our waitress was incredibly friendly and patient as we took our time enjoying our meal. The atmosphere was casual, with some diners dressed nicely while others wore t-shirts. If you're looking for a relaxed, enjoyable dinner or a gathering with friends, Le Midi is a fantastic choice!
This restaurant is a great choice for a group lunch or dinner, as the spacious setting wasn't too crowded during my visit. They offer a solid selection of French cuisine. The pastry basket starter featured a nice variety of treats and flavors. For my main course, I ordered the croque Madame, which was tasty but quite heavy due to the generous amounts of cheese, ham, and buttered bread. The full breakfast option provided a good assortment of their brunch offerings. While it might not be the best or most authentic French food I've ever enjoyed, I had a pleasant brunch experience here.
I've gone to le midi many times over the years but have never written a review. It's a nice place to go for happy hour especially with a group. You can drink and enjoy the fries or a burger before heading downstairs. The karaoke cave is in the basement and you can basically take it over if you go in a group! We went for brunch and... We ordered the French onion soup to start. The soup tastes good but doesn't need the parsley. Perhaps they were looking to add flavor but it was the wrong flavor note to enhance as parsley has an overwhelmingly strong taste. It's not a parsley soup it's an onion soup with cheese. Otherwise it is a good soup with lots of cheese and bread. French toast was good. Nothing crazy but tasty all the same. Zucchini and potato cake (new menu item) The poached eggs really brought the flavors in the ratatouille together The potato was cooked nicely and added a needed crunchy texture to the dish. Crème brûlée- could have been a little bit hotter but the strawberry was a lovely addition, tasted really good. Friendly workers. They changed our seating to a warmer corner and even brought over a heater to ensure we were warm throughout the meal. Our server wasn't overwhelming but made sure to check in at the right times! The restaurant was a bit empty so a reservation on a Saturday isn't necessary I would definitely come here for brunch again.
Came here on a Friday evening at 8:30pm. We ordered: French onion soup Duck confit salad Duck breast Pomme Frites Wine I checked in on Yelp and managed to get a mimosa for $5! It was great. The food tastes really good and the ingredients are fresh. We collectively agreed that this restaurant is worth coming back to. The vibe is sort of fancy, you would feel off coming here in the evening in shorts and a t shirt. It would definitely be a nice date spot.
