La Deliziosa Pastry Shoppe

We saw a map that indicated that there is a Little Italy in Poughkeepsie while walking across the Walkway Over the Hudson. While driving through, we stumbled upon this amazing bakery. It has all of the classic Italian pastries, cookies, and baked goods, plus more! The staff was friendly and the prices were reasonable. They offer a lot of variety so we tried several different cookies. My girlfriend loved the pignoli cookies. If we are ever in the area again, I'd really like to come back.

La Deliziosa has been baking wonderful pastries, cookies and cakes since 1974. I stopped back there to get something special while visiting family. There was nothing like being small and getting to choose something wonderful out of the cases. Yesterday was no different. It was comforting and familiar. The staff was charming and patient while customers made up their minds.

Best baked good on this side of the Hudson. Welcoming staff, fair prices, amazing pastries! A must go location.

Never disappointed. Best bakery in the area and beyond. I 've had pastries from Brooklyn to Albany and they are one of the best and outdo any 'pastry garden ' out there. Best cannoli cream there is. No lard-based or 'waxy ' frostings here. Always fresh and delicious!

This is 100% the best bakery around with that nostalgic Italian twist with a owner who is amazingly personable. Staffing is always pleasurable if your within a large radius of this bakery irlt is worth a commute to come see what you are missing!!!
