Not even close. The folks working there are all nice, but the disorganized kitchen...low quality food made the whole ship sink. The food 100% does not look like any of the pictures on yelp...fyi. The vast majority of the food is pre-made and frozen. They were out of numerous menu items and drinks.. The slow delivery...2 hours and pushing out food to the back of the line was not cool.
Got out of the car thinking I had missed a turn, as there isn't much signage visible after dark. Took a walk and found the entrance to the right of the store. It was not overly crowded on a Thursday evening. Found several spots at the bar and a few tables open. Servers were all friendly. It was like I was just at my friend's house hanging out. Not pretentious, threatening, nor did I feel like a stranger somewhere I was not welcome. Definitely a nice atmosphere, interesting decor, and nice beer and wine selection. The food is prepared right in the bar area, so it's not a full kitchen dining experience. Don't let that dissuade you. The food is delicious. Small plates and sandwiches, and a medium pizza with a nice assortment of toppings. If I am in this area again, I will be stopping in at Elkmont.
I visited last week and hung out for a while. I was amazed by the 16 local beer taps they had to choose from. I was schooled on their highly recommended Pizza or Pie as Lee called it. That was what I ordered and have now proclaimed it the Best Pizza Pie in Clemson. Go see Seth and the crew after work as the atmosphere to chill out in is as good as the food and service.
Great charcuterie board and pretzel. Nice, easy going vibe.
