We stopped at this restaurant as I remembered it from years ago, and it was good. Our usual stop in this town is the Old School, but food there was not consistently good. So we decided to try this little diner that has been here for a long time. Glad we did, my husband had the beef deep, and I had the burger, with coleslaw. The coleslaw was awesome as good as what my grandma used to make. The burger was delicious but huge, and husband's beef dip was tender and thick. They have home made baked goods, we did not have any but they looked yummy. I would highly recommend this place to stop and eat. It is small, and in winter a bit on the cool side, but atmosphere is warm and friendly. It is closed by 5pm, but this could be winter hours.
My husband and I had breakfast and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Everything was cooked perfectly to our preferences - crisp bacon, over easy eggs, and more. It's a fantastic, laid-back spot to enjoy a delicious home-cooked meal. Definitely recommend it.
We stopped by this restaurant for dinner, but since we had our dog with us, we ended up getting takeout a few hours later. However, the wait was definitely worth it! The woman in charge was very sweet and also a great cook. The Beef Dip with tater tots was a delicious introduction to this charming town. The portion size was generous, and the meal was fresh and flavorful. We plan to dine in next time, but regardless of how you experience it, make sure to try one of the delicious meals served here. We highly recommend this place!
We come to Clinton annually for our cabin trips with family. We have eaten here many times over the last 15 years. We will continue coming!
