We each ordered a drink, nothing outrageous, and a slice of oat bar and two of the lemon cake. We then waited for 25+ minutes before we received our drinks. The five staff engaged in taking orders and converting those in to a physical entity were busy but appeared entirely focused on either the drive through or mobile 'app ' orders. Not the usual hum of a coffee store with guests sitting, chatting and drinking on property. Unlikely that I 'll go back.
Usually I would go to the Starbuck's inside the Safeway store. However, since it was being renovated, I went to the free standing Starbucks on 5th Ave. instead. The prices in this Starbucks are higher than than the ones in Calgary. When I questioned the staff about the prices, I was told that Cochrane , like Canmore, is in the owner's opinion, a resort town with an extra charge added on. Really?? I'll be sticking to the Starbucks' inside Safeway stores.
Told tryse my last beverage tasted like just warm milk no flavor.. she shrugged her shoulders says oh well was that all for you ..wow way to give a **** about your quality controle
I like to grab coffee on the way to work but had to abandon this location for one in Calgary. Too often they are out of one thing or another almond milk etc. It’s not consistent which is what I expect from Starbucks. They also charge 10 cents more than the city on some drinks for some unknown reason. Fine if they could be counted on to have my drink everyday but sadly they cannot.
It 's an okay place, if you 're not too fussy. One of the reasons I first started frequenting Starbucks was their ability to do half-caff espresso-based drinks. And so I ordered, as I always do, a half-caff drink. What came? A decaf... Big unhappy face.
