I was told about the Peekskill location ended up being by the Cold Spring location so I stopped by. It was clean the lady was nice at the counter but the pastries were old and hard as as a rock. I spent $14 and some change. My kids liked their pretzels but just so disappointed by the pastries. The croissant crumbled completely and also tasted freezer burnt.
Would recommend going in the week and not on the weekend. Things tend to be fresher, I believe they are selling older or shipped stock on the weekend. My pastry today is definitely stale and the case was FILLED with fruit flies, a swarm of them flew up and onto the glass when they were getting my pastry.
I was there a week ago and paid $5.04 for 4 cookies and today I went there and only wanted 2 of the same cookies and the girl said it was $5. I do think $20 a pound is a bit much but$ 5 for two cookies is ridiculous. I love their cookies tho. And both times I was there the kids that work there need to be more attentive to customers when they come instead of having you wait until they decide to come over to you. Last week they took a customer that came in after me before me. I really don't like when people do that. It's rude. Especially when there is only 2 customers in there (myself and one there) and the other was being waited on. That's rude!
A wide variety of yumminess was on display. The selection was heavy on chocolate covered pretzels, Graham crackers, etc and missing brownies. The cakes looked beautiful and delicious.
