The German Bakery - Colombo

We tried the cinnamon rolls at this restaurant in Colombo, which I had been excited to try during my visit. Unfortunately, they were very dry. The iced coffee was decent, but overall, I wouldn't recommend making a special trip to try either of these items.

We visited here for breakfast but it was an average place. Food was ok nothing too great or perhaps we ordered the wrong thing. The omlette was the best out of what we ordered. Coffee was ok. The place is kid friendly and there's a little play area as well.

The German Bakery is a place I had driven past many times before finally trying it out with my sister for breakfast on a weekend. The parking is limited, but once inside, we were greeted by a family-friendly environment with plenty of toys and real animals for the kids to enjoy. My nieces had a great time and nicknamed it "the place with the toys." The breakfast was excellent, with delicious eggs that were very filling. I appreciated that they provided 2 tea bags when you order tea, and my sister and I are both big fans of German bread, especially the pumpernickel. We enjoyed our experience so much that we ended up coming back three times in one week. It's also worth mentioning that the mustard was excellent.

This restaurant is fantastic! The customer service is top-notch and the food is delicious. The omelette and bread were particularly enjoyable, although they were a bit too salty for my taste as I don't usually eat much salt.

Had cappuccino, hot chocolate, and a cinnamon roll. All were yummy. 2 guests other than me and son. Good service. Thank you
