Inside, there's a long bar and a variety of drinks to choose from, while the outdoor seating area is quite pleasant as well. My husband and I decided to try the pizza, which turned out to be quite good. The only thing we found odd was the pineapple topping, but overall, we enjoyed our pizzas and also ordered a baked dish that was tasty. The service was quick, and the prices were reasonable. We had a great time and really enjoyed both the ambiance and the food.
Thirsty Fellows is great. The food is great. The atmosphere is great. The people are great. Prices are the only thing that aren't as great. Still worth checking out regardless. Great place to get dinner before an event at the Colonial Life Arena!
It's a build-your-own pizza restaurant, so we chose a medium red pizza: half pepperoni and cheese, and the other half with Italian sausage, mushrooms, green peppers, and black olives. However, it took quite a while to receive our pizza, from 7:00 PM until after 7:45 PM. To be fair, there was a concert happening that night. Once the pizza arrived, it was fresh and absolutely delicious. Our waiter was extremely friendly and attentive to our child, which added to the great atmosphere of the place. The prices are reasonable as well. We'll definitely be returning! I rated it 4 stars mainly due to the long wait for the pizza; otherwise, it would have been 5 stars!
We were driving past Columbia and decided to give it a try. We were lucky we found a parking spot and got a table right away because it got busy. Even the patio on a rather warm day was pretty full with some dogs as well, yay dogs. Our food was delayed coming out of the kitchen, waiting over 20 minutes for our appetizer of two pretzels and generic nacho cheese. Food was also delayed as well, but everything came out hot. We had the Philly cheesesteak and pizza with a side of fries and it was good, though I was surprised to see a side of fries being $5 as they were just regular fries. The wait staff was friendly though harried due to the crowd, and we just assumed that like most places they are short staffed. They do what they can. The menu is eclectic, but on the plus side you have a variety of things to choose between. We didn't have alcohol but they seemed to have a good assortment of liquor along with a variety of beer and wines.
The food was great. Service was lacking. It was 3:00 pm on a Saturday. Most seats in the restaurant were taken. Our server was nice, but seemed to disappear. We got menus and our drink orders, and then waited almost 20 minutes to place our order. It was fine, we werent in a rush. We got our appetizer. And half our food came out soon after, but we ended up waiting 15 to 20 minutes later to get the rest of the food, and we had to ask the food runner for refills and where the rest of the food was The food runner was trying her hardest and really tried to make sure we had everything. Food ???? Waiter ?? Food runner ?????
