It’s decent. People that are rating it one star because of the new ownership need to get a life. Why do y’all like seeing a small business do bad? It’s not that big of a change in the food. Friendly staff, good atmosphere.
I’ve been wanting to try this place forever and ever time I was nearby, it was closed for renovation. Finally got lucky and saw it was open tonight. Very clean cafe and the staff is friendly and helpful with suggestions! What really got me is the food though. My late mother in law was Filipino and she made the most incredible lumpia. Since her passing, anytime I find a Filipino restaurant, I order the lumpia because I’m desperate to find lumpia that tastes like hers, which was always thicker and meatier (yes, I’ve tried to make it from her recipe but it’s missing the crucial Ingredient of “a mother’s love.” No place has ever matched up until Bayanihan. After one bite, I raced over to my husband like a mad scientist who discovered the formula after years of trials and failures. He also said it’s the closest lumpia recipe he’s ever had to his mom’s. Like, spot on 9.5/10. It brought a tear to his eye ??Now, nobody else knows my personal comparison obviously, but I’m telling you, you gotta go try it for yourself!!
It’s embarrassing how poor the quality of authenticity is here after the ownership change. This used to be owned and ran by an actual Filipino family. It was also family ran but the guy who took our order was super rude and passive for apparently no reason because there was no one else in there when we ordered. Won’t be back. I suggest looking elsewhere for a true Filipino experience.
Great authentic Filipino food and friendly service. Will come back for sure!
