I 'd ordered chicken cordon bleu and while the flavours were good and the sides excellent (mashed potato to die for and crisp veggies), the chicken itself was dry. Hubs had the arrachera steak, which he 's had many times before, but this one was next level. He 'd ordered medium rare, which it was, and it was insanely tender and tasty, served also with delicious sides. One friend had the mixed fajitas, which came in a big steaming lava bowl and looked incredible (he quite enjoyed it). One friend had diablo shrimp and was really disappointed, reporting that it had no real heat and a strong ketchup like flavour. She 's a chef herself, but not a picky eater it just wasn 't enjoyable so we wouldn 't recommend it. Another friend had a garlic shrimp, which she said was Okay but noted they didn 't taste fresh not saying they were bad, just that they were likely previously frozen. We 're west coasters, so we tend to have high standards where seafood is concerned. They served a bruschetta plate to the table each piece topped with sprouts, which I was skeptical about, but it was actually super tasty and a little bit different in a good way. I 'm looking forward to returning before we leave for home and trying something different.
Our first visit with friends that have been here before over the years. Clean restaurant and not crowded this evening. Our main server spoke very good English although there were several in our group that could have conversed in Spanish. Attentive service at first that diminished slightly throughout our stay. Food was good and our group ordered a mixture of steak, fish and fajitas. Fajitas were served in a “smoking-hot” bowl and were very good. A couple different soups also ordered.
