Not bad but not the best. Very busy atmosphere. New to the area and trying different restaurants. The food was not the best but not the worst. I will consider going back a second time to see if the experience might be different.Food: 3/5
I was extremely disappointed in their presentation. I sat at a regular table. My food came out very fast. I ordered the trio: salmon, scallops, and shrimp with veggies. The shrimp had a bad taste to them, as if the batch was in dirty sea water. The veggies were almost mushy. The rice was old.On a positive note, the venue was very nice. I may try the hibachi grill in the future. I know they have to be better than what I received.Kid-friendliness: Family style restaurant
Our server today deserves 10 stars. Whenever we come here, he is super kind and personable.I've been a customer at Tokyo for years. I've ALWAYS ordered sushi and a kids meal. I prefer this for the portion size, I don't want to order more than I can eat in one sitting. Today we were informed that adults can't order a kids meal. Manager and Owner at Tokyo. What's the big deal if PAYING customers order a kids meal. We'll still be paying for the food.I've been a server and a bartender at multiple restaurants and in my experience it's poor management and poor leadership that sets this type of standard for FOOD MENU. What about the elderly who don't eat very much but still want to enjoy your establishment? Anyway, you should know it set a bad tone for your establishment. We're paying for the service AND the experience. Do better.And do better by your exceptional servers and your guests.
We just went here for dinner. The rice on the sushi roll was so hard. I had to pull off the rice to eat it. The Bulgogi was dry and we asked for more sauce and I think the sauce was for something else and did not taste right. The waiter seemed to act like we were bothering him the whole time. At the end he just left us there and I had to ask another waiter for a Togo box and more water. He gave us the water to go and did not say a word. Very bad customer service. I told the manager and he apologized.
