Trattoria Taddei - Corpus Christi

With an appetite for Italian food cultivated by life, while I worked in Bella Napoli for more than eight years, I was very impressed by the food, the staff and the man behind it...Vasco Taddei. The menu, and especially the execution was top shelf, and a welcome to find in Corpus, home to mostly chain restaurants. Another highlight was a spirited tour through the kitchen, and a whole Italian food focused on talking to Vasco himself. He is proud to offer an authentic culinary experience through his love for his food, which he now shares with those who have found this hidden jewel in the Coastal Bend! The only negative I could offer was that the bread was not particularly inspired, and seemed from the Sync with the high caliber of menu points. We'll be back!

We had an excellent dinner at Trattoria Taddei in Corpus Christi. We began with a salad dressed in a homemade balsamic vinaigrette, which was both simple and delicious. My wife ordered the Zuppa di Pesce, which was brimming with shrimp, fish, mussels, and octopus in a flavorful broth. I opted for the lobster ravioli in a pink sauce, accompanied by a meatball, and my dish was outstanding—made with homemade pasta and sauce that were simply excellent. After spending a few weeks in Italy, I can confidently say this was the most authentic Italian food we’ve had in years. The service was also very good, and our meal exceeded our expectations.

This was hands down the best meal I've had in Corpus! The atmosphere was warm and cozy, and the customer service was fantastic. The homemade gnocchi and ravioli were incredible. I will definitely be coming back!

As an Italian from New York, I can say that this was the best and most authentic Italian food I've had since moving to Texas! The pasta was amazing, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was delightful. I've found my new favorite restaurant—it's like dining in Nonna's kitchen. Mangiare!

The best Italian food I've had! And the people are very kind and accommodating. Want something that's not on the menu? Chances are they'll make it for you! When I go to corpus I always have to come here.
