El Pollo Regio - Corsicana

This establishment was originally an 'El Pollo Loco ' the pre eminent purveyor of grilled, mexican marinated chicken! 'Loco ' has been very successful in the larger communities (Las Vegas, Dallas, etc. but has found it difficult to maintain operations in the smaller communities. 'Regio ' took over the operation several years ago in this community, when I stopped in to place an order. Unfortunately, 'Regio ' doesn 't have the same marketing attitude as 'Loco '.... I don 't like dark meat and was surprised to be told that if I wanted the 'half chicken ' order, I 'd have to take (and pay for the legs and thighs! There 's no substitution and that 's that! I told them I 'd pay for the extra white meat: NOPE! You pay for what we give you! We have 'Regio ' here in Waco, also and they maintain the same attitude: so, I don 't eat at Regio.
