The Stanley Jefferson - County Durham

Popped in for a cuppa and breakfast, there was a queue of 4 customers at the bar, there were also 4 other members of staff chatting and laughing behind the bar. I asked the group of staff if anyone else was serving, a young man with multi coloured dyed hair with what appeared to be a southern accent and I was guess was the manager. He said, no there’s only one serving, she’ll serve you when she can. I don’t think I’ll be returning soon. Wetherspoons need to sort this venue out.

The food deals aren’t too bad, nothing flash but edible, bonus was the free drink that came with it, wouldn’t be my first choice by far but a great way to start the evening with friends I hadn’t seen in a long time!

We stopped on here whilst travelling past. It was easy to find on the sat nav reasonable priced parking available a short walk away. Staff friendly. Pub clean. Food served quickly and of good quality. Toilets spacious and clean. We would return.

We’ve just visited here today and was very pleased with everything. As expected this pub is very interesting in many ways. The location is very good be on the Market Place with bus stops outside. We were served by Al who was the Manager and his customer service was very good. The food was good and reasonable. We would definitely return.

Went in for a business lunch and Being served by the lad with tattoos , nothing wrong with them before anyone says but chewing ya chewy like it’s going out of fashion while serving food is not only against hygiene standards let alone staff standards. Didn’t eat my food after this
