Marco Polo Restaurant - Cranbrook

This is a typical chinese american foodery, offering a wide selection of the basics in the buffet, crispy beef and beans, won ton soup, sweet and sour chicken balls, deep fried shrimp, and lots more to fill your plate, skinny lo mein noodles , fat lo mein noodles, chow mein, and then the dessert options, a bit american like jello and ice cream.

I have been eating here for years. Nothing exciting, but well prepared food and lots of it. Some excellent dishes as the won ton soup.

When we sat down the server just grunted smorg, we said yes please so she pointed at it and walked off. The food was average and looked as though it had been there a while. We never got drink refills or asked how it was and the waitress stood behind our table tapping her fingers on the bar.

Ordered take out dinner for TWO and was very pleased with both the quantity and the quality of the food. Containers were well filled and still very HOT when we got them home. Chow Mein, pineapple chicken,beef and broccoli were among the favorites we enjoyed the other night. We complemented our order with Won Ton soup ( Very Good)and some extra rice. All , very good and we will try these folks again next time in the mood for Chinese food.

Lots of choices, prices very reasonable, quantity excellent on each take out dish we ordered. Did think the food was a little bland tasting. Nothing dramatic but could be improved. Food was ready for the time that was quoted.
