The Gathering Place - CRISFIELD

Evelyn, our AirBnB host, recommended this place, and we really enjoyed it! It is this delightful nook with all of your classic American comfort foods we had a lovely saturday brunch of eggs, home fries, bacon, biscuits, as well as a sauteed vegetable omelet and grits for me. The grits were really wonderful I added a bit of cheddar in mine, and they tasted very much home made! The omelet was done to perfection, and the homefries were light with some onion in them. We had plenty of jam, butter, and other condiments to go with our biscuit and toast. Our server, Beth, was very attentive and helpful, and gave us refills on our hot coffee. It was a wonderful place to enjoy the waning days of the summer and enjoy this lovely town! I would definitely come back here on another trip to the Eastern shore!

Very friendly service and good breakfast items to choose from. I like how friendly the locals are in this establishment! Will definitely recommend.

The Gathering Place is not fine dinning but we loved everything about the place. The place is cozy and friendly. The staff is amazing friendly and attentive. They even addressed a difficult situation with another table with grace. The food is good. We were here for late lunch and breakfast the next day. Crabby fries is a must. We got a small and it was plenty. It was smothered with a heaping pile of crab dip and cheese. Shrimp basket not a huge portion but good. We substituted the fries for hush poppies OMG it was good. Crab cake sandwich this was solid (not the best but solid . Also substituted fries for hush poppies see above : The next day we came back for breakfast. We loved the hush poppies so much we ordered some more with breakfast. We got Sauteed Veggies Omelette and french toast. They were both good. Who knows... we may be back again for another meal.

The Gathering Place has awesome food! And the service is great. The staff is always so friendly!!

Great food, great prices, great service, and hometown welcoming atmosphere. One of my favorites! You will not be disappointed.
