It's an old house that has had a friendly biergarten built behind it. I would imagine that if the Weasleys built a German restaurant this would be it. Everything feels a little too warm and irrepressibly welcoming. Our server was quick, friendly and sensible. She had that perfect balance between making you feel welcome and not wasting much of time with you. I told her that I'd hire her. The food was solid German food. I had a plate of wurst. It was unexpectedly tasty. Even the red cabbage was a little more delicious than any place I've tried lately. My wife had some schnitzel and she raved about it. We both cleaned our plates in a way that must have made the dishwasher happy.
The service was amazing, the food was authentic and wonderful, the atmosphere is lovely. I highly recommend this place and advise if busy just enjoy your company because this is a mom and pop shop that has only two servers but man are they just the best and work their butt off to get to everyone. They deserve the best customers so no karens lol.
Wanted a break from the usual fare and this place didn't disappoint. They offer a number of dishes that span from middle-of-the-road to more typical German dishes. It's a small establishment so if you take a larger party like we did, understand that it will take a little longer and if you plan accordingly, that's perfectly fine. While we were there, we spoke with a regular who said the desserts were incredible but unfortunately, we were pressed for time but I have no doubts they would have been tasty.
Not sure why it took me so long to try this place out. Best value in town. Honestly it's so affordable and the food is incredible. Not a fast food option- but it's very very good! The desserts alone are worth stopping in.
Wonderful food. A bit warm out today, but the patio is such a nice place for a large family.
