Royal Garden Chinese - Croydon

My partner and I were really looking forward to this meal. She mentioned that she hadn't had Chinese food in a while and wanted to satisfy her craving. Unfortunately, this wasn't the right place for it. The food was just average, and while the service was decent, the atmosphere felt lacking since it was a midweek visit. However, when we received the bill, I found it quite excessive for what we had. Overall, it was a bit of an anticlimax and didn't convince me to choose Chinese over a Thai meal.

Second time I’ve been to this restaurant in the last two weeks. Both time the food and service was excellent.

Food was good. Service was a bit slow, but it was a busy night. 4 of us, ordered set Royal banquet. Waitress couldn't say whether we would get enough for 4, so ended up ordering 2 banquets, which was way too much. Took most of it home in a doggy bag.

The dining experience was fantastic, and the service was both efficient and friendly. We appreciated that they respected our desire to enjoy our meal at our own pace without feeling rushed. It made for a wonderful time with family.
