Quinua Vegetarian - Cuenca

What a wonderful restaurant! It is beautifully decorated and has a comfortable atmosphere. The menu is extensive and includes wine and beer. The vegetarian, mostly vegan food is made from natural ingredients. It's delicious! They also serve a Veggie almuerzo (complete meal) at noon. The owner is friendly and served us personally when we were there. If you are looking for excellent vegetarian food, generous portions and a pleasant atmosphere, La Quinua is the place to go.

Gorgeous restaurant with lots of natural light and plants. Fast service. Good variety and prices. The celery and carrots were soft and wilty and hummus was watery so I would not order that again. But I would go back!

My wife and I sought out this vegetarian restaurant while enjoying a visit to Cuenca, Ecuador. I can easily tell you the food was outstanding. Cesar, the owner, chef and more, speaks English. He was very helpful and engaging. After our meal, we quizzed him on his sourcing of food and his thoughts about the benefits of eating a plant based diet. He is dedicated to delivering locally sourced, organically grown food and prepared in the best way possible. I would definitely not pass this restaurant up if you are a vegetarian or vegan. Their hours are limited to 10am-3pm.

A favorite of my vegetarian wife and me the carnivore. Delicious food. Cesar is wonderful and friendly as owner, chef and waiter when they are not busy but a lovely staff when they are. Beautiful and calming place to visit.

The best vegetarian restaurant in Cuenca. The food is simply delicious. The owner is a super nice man and attentive. The setting of the place is very smart, full of natural light, spacious but intimate and full of characters. The price is cheap especially in Cuenca. A tasty full menu del dia included a plate of corn for starter, a maracuya juice, a big bowl of quinoa veggy soup and a main course of salads, rice, beans, fried squash plus a nuts&seeds cake for desert is US$ 4! Highly recommended.
