I ordered the two pork chop dinner, which came with mashed potatoes and green beans, for just $10.50—definitely a bargain, as you would likely pay double that elsewhere for the same meal. The decor seems like it hasn’t changed since it opened in the 1970s, and the crowd mostly consists of seniors. It’s a great spot for anyone on a fixed income. The service was decent, although the tables are quite close together, making the atmosphere a bit cramped. Don’t pay attention to reviews claiming they were overcharged; this place deserves praise for its fair prices. If you're in Cumberland, it’s definitely worth a visit!
The food here was delicious! If you're looking for a true home-cooked meal, this is your place. The portions were plentiful and the prices were unbeatable! The staff were all super friendly as were the other people there eating. We were here from out of town for a car show at the Gap and everyone wanted to talk to us about that and we're friendly in doing so. We'll definitely make an effort to stop back here when we're back in the area.
My husband and I are visiting here from SC. I googled restaurants and saw this one and we decided to try it because of the ratings and WOW our food was awesome! My roast beef sandwich could not have been better. AND they had Graham Cracker Cream pie! I haven't had that in 50 years. Great food, good service and a great price. I highly recommend Lindy's!
Very crowded and a long wait but it's worth waiting for.. Just a fine place to eat ..
It was merely average. I didn't get the impression that anything was made from scratch.
