The plov has a shorter grain rice that is missing things they used to have like chickpeas and veggies on the side. The samsas taste like frozen ones from the store. The dough is very thick, no layers (not flaky), greasy, tasted undercooked, meat was still cold inside, and left me with a stomachache. It's sad to see what was a staple for us decline but hopefully they can improve.Delicious Russian and Uzbek food! Rare to find this kind of food around here. Everything we ordered was amazing. The Uzbek Lepyoshki was very fresh and warm. Lamb Samsas could be one of my favorite things here. Fluffy and meaty pastries. If you come here, you must get the plov. It's high quality beef over seasoned rice. Very hearty. Lagman noodles will hit the spot on a cold day as well. Don't forget to save room for dessert because the Russian Honey Cake is also a must. Unique layered cake with different spices and not overly sweet.
This is a high integrity place. After visiting I thought I’m missing some cash from my purse but manager went and reviewed camera’s records for 3+ hours to assure me no one took it. Looks like I lost cash prior to the entry to a restaurant. It just shows how much they care about the secure environment and the service. The service and care was beyond my expectations. Thank you and my apologies for the hustle.
The best restaurant in Dallas area. I’m biased since I’m Russian and when my family comes here we are treated like family and can hear our native language. On the weekends they have live music, belly dancing, but even without all that the food is unbelievably incredible and fresh. You have to go if you haven’t.
Loved this place per recommendation of my friend that is learning Russian language. He told me about this Russian Uzbekistan place I should try when I visit. It did not disappoint.I had the plov my wife had the Kiev my friend had the dumplings and the cheesy bread. We both had our own slice of medovik honey cake it was delectable. We all left very satisfied and full. Would return anytime. The table next to us had the meat pies and the herring cake. I was very intrigued by all of the dishes. very nice place to have dinner with friends and family. Very chill atmosphere and inviting. The staff was very pleasant to deal with. More places like this need to exist!!
