The HH selection is usually very good as well. Sometimes there are items that are more fusion, which can be a hit or miss, but it’s still exciting to try them. However, this past time, we came during HH just hoping to squeeze some drinks in at their “waiting table.” (Their drinks are very good imo, so it was worth it to just sit at the waiting table. But that was a hot mess—three hosts and none of them guided us to the table nor cared to get us menus. Like I felt like I knew what I was doing more than they did—and why wouldn’t they recommend me to sit?For drinks, I had to chase them down to order drinks. Everyone else that sat after us were greeted with menus. We finally got menus when the couple sitting next to us offered theirs. Like what?? And also, none of the servers knew who was who. We were approached two to three times with drinks for other people… Idk… usually I have very good experiences at Uchiba, but last night was kinda a mess and made me weary of future experiences.
Every bite was better than the last, Joshua helped us navigate the menu with my wife's dairy allergy and helped us not miss anything that was a must. With construction happening right outside of the restaurant we asked to move inside and they were more than happy to accommodate us. Very attentive, asked us multiple times how everything was( absolute perfection), we would come back and will absolutely recommend anyone to spend their evening.Dietary restrictions: JOSHUA CIRCLED EVERYTHING MY WIFE COULD ENJOY!
We had the best time at the bar with Connor as our bartender and waiter. Try the chutoro tuna nigiri and any of the hamachi maki. You can’t go wrong with anything the best sushi ever!
I'm a huge fan of Uchi and Uchiba and have had many meals at the Dallas location. Just leaving a note here to applaud the outstanding staff. My wife and I were celebrating last night and a woman needed to be reseated. She was placed at a table across from us. She was very upset, and seemed to have had too much to drink or was having a mental moment or both. The staff kindly worked with her to see what they could do. She was quite unreasonable and yet the Uchi staff was unflappable. We don't see this level of service and compassion that often, especially when it could have easily escalated into a scene. The exceptional professionalism and kindness was impressive.
Our server David was absolutely AMAZING. He knew we were celebrating a birthday the second we sat down and he even gave us an amazing cold sashimi dish on the house AND some extra dessert. The happy hour prices were also very reasonable and the food was absolutely DELICIOUS. It was my boyfriend's birthday and it was both of our first times there and we absolutely loved it! I HIGHLY recommend!
