Finally, something for everyone! Breakfast, lunch, dinner, (local) coffee and kombucha and beer! Stopped in on a hot day between errands and was so impressed with the interior, I'm a blue guy. Staff was busy, accommodating and informative. Iced coffee was great and the local Cross Culture Kombucha was different than GT's or others I have tried, lighter and refreshing. I used to be vegan for 10 years and until 2 months ago, Pescatarian but still do not eat dairy. Now I'm eating meat twice a week so this menu has something for me everytime I come back and I can't wait to try everything. I've already let my vegan friends and foodies know (we'll be back tomorrow evening for our weekly area eateries). The soba/buckwheat edamame toss was the perfect medium balance. Not too hot, not too cold; just right. So many people mess up an easy dish like this. Right amount of mirin and plenty of garlic. Perfect portion, just enough to not fill you up, but leave you wanting more.
Danbury has a hidden gem in Pour Me! We have dined outside a few times now and have thoroughly enjoyed our meals while sipping wine. The menu is imaginative and the specials are to die for! For foodies out there it's reminiscent of a celebrated find in Manhattan.
Even before you eat a morsel, Pour Me is visually satisfying with a warm and welcoming ambiance. The pear salad with juicy chicken and tangy vinaigrette was massive, the soba noodles were DE-lish and loaded with edamame and, the smoothies were the best I've had. A shared hemp hummus, topped with fresh cucumbers and tomatoes, was the perfect starter. Can't wait to go back to try the award-winning vegan chili. A wonderful new addition to the emerging Downtown Danbury scene!
Pour Me is a fantastic place in downtown Danbury. I have been there twice in the last couple of weeks and was more than happy with service, the food, and the overall experience. I went there with a book club and the staff was accommodating and helpful and made us feel completely welcome. The menu consist of smaller portion and some unusual choices. You MUST try the toast with cottage cheese, pear and honey!!! Great place; I hope they will be around for a long time.
