The owner telephoned to get more details to make sure we were fully accommodated. The food was amazing, beautifully cooked, seasonal veg and plenty. Our 90 year old Uncle said it was the best garlic prawns he's ever had (and he's well travelled). This venue was perfect for our family celebration, not overwhelming for our two 90 year olds and informal enough for the two children in our party. We will definitely be revisiting this hidden gem on our return visits as we come to Dartmouth often.
We visited 4 quality restaurants in Dartmouth this week and in some ways this was best. The ambience and setting was both intimate and spacious. The service was very attentive and friendly. As someone with gluten intolerance I was delighted that they had so many options, you never felt that they had compromised a dish to make it gluten free. Every course was well cooked and seasoned. Our turbot was lovely with delicious potato and leeks and good value at £22. We shared a sticky toffee pudding and chocolate ganache, both were great. Reasonable value wines available with a useful 250ml glass. Most enjoyable evening.
We visited Dartmouth on 21st October after a walk around this beautiful seaside town we had Lunch at Busells , So glad we did, friendly staff and great service and the food was fresh and good quality . We had four children with us and they were patient and considerate of their needs , catering exceptionally well for my gluten free Grandson. We will be definitely returning .
We had an excellent meal at Bushell's Riverside in Dartmouth, we had a warm welcome from the friendly team on arrival and felt very comfortable. Bushell's Riverside has a great atmosphere and the food and service is excellent. The Gluten free options are very good, in fact most things on the menu can be adapted for those like us who are gluten intolerant. We can thoroughly recommend Bushell's Riverside Trevor Wing
Visited this restaurant during a brief day trip to Dartmouth. It was a gorgeous sunny day and they had some welcoming seating outside. Not too busy either. The menu was reasonable and kept the seafood lovers happy. I opted for the plain old Fish Chips. There was nothing plain about it. With Homemade mushy peas and washed down with a local lager. It was honestly superb. Lovely and crispy and a good portion size. It was next level, far from your average offerings found elsewhere. Other family members had Squid, Plaice, some pate and sweet potato fries. The smile on their faces said it all. If your in town then please try this place out.
